Fiordo de Quintupeu
The Quintupeu Fjord is located south of Puerto Montt. The place is considered historic, as it was the place where Dresden was hidden, the only surviving German ship of the Battle of the Falklands in 1915. This fjord has a narrow entrance and large waterfalls with its steep walls up to 600 meters Height where you can see larches, of which have been found in the highest areas specimens of more than 3600 years, together with coihues, tepas, ulmos, lengas, etc. We can admire the wonderful view of the volcanoes Yates and Hornopirén. The perspective of the estuary and cliffs that fall on the sea is something impressive, touching and unforgettable.
