Museo Diego Rivera
The Casa del Arte Diego Rivera is located in the center of Puerto Montt on the corner of Antonio Varas and Quillota streets. It was inaugurated on November 16, 1964 with the concurrence of the wife of the President of Mexico, Mrs. Eva Sámano de Lopez Mateos. The building is named after the famous Mexican painter and muralist Diego Rivera in gratitude to the people of Mexico for their generous collaboration to build it as an enclosure for artists and painters of the area, replacing what used to be the former "Casa de Botes", completely Destroyed by the earthquake of May 22, 1960.
